Tasks & Responsibilities: • Architect the Platform: o Design and implement a secure, scalable, and efficient shared source environment. o Set up and manage version control systems (e.g., GitLab or GitHub Enterprise). o Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and high-quality code delivery. o Integrate software security best practices, including access control, vulnerability scanning, and dependency management. • Define Governance & Process: o Develop an operational playbook for the shared source program, including clear guidelines on contributions, code reviews, versioning, and release management. o Implement technical controls to protect intellectual property and align with contribution models (e.g., CLAs). • Cultivate the Community: o Onboard contributors and provide technical support to ensure active participation. o Foster a collaborative and innovative environment by encouraging high-quality contributions. • Bridge the Gap: o Collaborate with legal teams to translate legal requirements (e.g., licensing and IP) into practical technical processes. o Ensure the shared source program is compliant while maintaining a developer-friendly environment. Must haves: • Proven experience working within open-source or shared-source projects and environments, managing the implementation of open-source frameworks and systems. (*****) • Hands-on expertise with code-hosting platforms and developer ecosystems like GitLab or GitHub Enterprise. (****) • Strong background in DevOps and CI/CD automation to ensure efficient and high-quality code maintenance.
