Freelance Requirements Engineer - Automotive 

My client in the Automotive industry is looking for a Freelance Requirements Engineer for a period of 12 months.

Rate: €60-70p/h depending on experience
Start date: Asap (middle of Feb latest)
Contract: Long term project (12 months initially)
Location: Lindau – 10% onsite Remote – 90%
English Speaking – German is a nice to have


• Responsible for the development and coordination of the work products over the complete ISO lifecycle of our latest radar product generation
• Creating of hazard and risk analyses
• Deriving safety goals and requirements for the latest radar products
• Definition of the safety interfaces between identified system components
• Definition of the necessary safety concepts and -functions including the creation and coordination of safety
requirement specifications
• Ensure documentation of the safety system requirements
• Planning of the safety work products
• Support / development in the creation of safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA)
• Moderation and participation in technical reviews
• Creation of the safety case
• Close cooperation with the project managers, developers and customers
• Coordination of the safety requirements with the external and internal stakeholders
• Preparation and support of the safety releases
• Support of the acquisition through cost estimates and creation of technical bases for the preparation of offers
The scope of services to be delivered includes a functional safety manager/engineer with knowledge according to ISO26262, ISO 15288, ASPICE sowie ISO/PAS 21448.
