The role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of a Business Intelligence Developer, for an initial 12 month contract. In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering the business intelligence reporting capabilities using Cognos and Power BI.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine business requirements and comprehensively grasp the scope of Cognos and Power BI reporting projects.
• Conceptualise and create frameworks utilising the SQL Server Data Warehouse database for Cognos and diverse databases or files for Power BI.
• Develop an intuitive and user-friendly reporting layer to enhance the end-user experience.
• Design, create, and deploy requested reports and interactive dashboards to fulfill user needs.
• Define and implement optimal scheduling strategies for generating and distributing reports.
• Conduct thorough testing of frameworks, reports, and dashboards to ensure performance and accuracy.
• Prepare detailed deployment and installation instructions to facilitate seamless implementations.

Key Skills & Experience:

• You have technical skills and a good business understanding/interest.
• Good experience with Power BI and / or Cognos
• English speaking 
• Eligible to work as a freelancer in Belgium
