Director of Engineering (Fully remote) 

Salary : Up to £120k base 

Excellent opportunity for an innovative Director of Engineering for a leading payments company. You'll have the opportunity to lead a highly talented group of technologists, using your experience to get the best out of the development team, promoting best practice with an emphasis on delivering exceptional software. 

You'll also be leading the strategic direction, support and mentoring to the Engineering Teams. 

What you'll do 

- Define the technical direction of the organisation with a focus on delivering highest quality software available 
- Lead, support and mentor the engineers to get the very best out of them 
- Support teams experiencing issues to restore service and root out problems 
-Work alongside delivery to ensure motives and planned, prioritised and executed 
- Conduct standups and oversee release deployments 


What you'll have : 

Essential : 

- BSc OR MSc in Computer Science or Engineering 
- At least 2 years in Engineering Lead role 
- Experience writing backend systems in languages in C# or Java with Database experience 

Desirable : 

-  Experience with Containers or Cloud Computing
