Are you an experienced Java engineer with a passion for algorithmic trading? We have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Income eTrading Algo Engineer to join a leading global financial institution. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge algorithmic trading solutions within the Fixed Income domain. As a part of the London team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of electronic trading (multi year, greenfield project).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders, and technology teams to design, develop, and implement advanced algorithmic trading strategies for the Fixed Income market.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance low-latency trading platforms and systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Optimize and fine-tune existing trading algorithms to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market data and trading patterns to identify opportunities for algorithmic enhancements.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-functional team collaborations to ensure high-quality software development practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the Fixed Income eTrading space.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and experience with multi-threaded and low-latency application development.
  • Previous experience in designing and implementing algorithmic trading strategies within the Fixed Income market.
  • Solid understanding of Fixed Income instruments, market structure, and electronic trading protocols.
  • Familiarity with market data feeds, order management systems, and trading APIs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with other programming languages like C++, Python, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of electronic trading platforms and connectivity solutions.
  • Understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements within the financial industry.
  • Previous experience working in an agile development environment.
The position is based in London, United Kingdom and you'll need full right to work in the UK.
