Freelance Enterprise Software Architect - Hybrid Antwerp

My Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Architect to join on a freelance basis for a minimum the next 6 months.

Our client is constantly seeking to accelerate the software development velocity without compromising maintainability. In order to do this and strategically improve upon our methodologies, we need an Enterprise Architect specialised in Software Development Architecture who is willing to evolve his/her skills together with a team of skilled architects, lead developers and passionate tech enthusiasts.
In this role you will support our aligned autonomy strategy in which we both want to simplify our development languages and tooling whilst keeping an eye on emerging technologies and opportunities.

As an Enterprise Architect - Software Development you will be:
 

• Providing insights in our current AS-IS state of programming languages and included development tools.
• Performing development maturity assessments on our existing codebase.
• Assessing whether certain languages are still a good fit for our current and future needs.
• Assisting in the selection of development languages & tooling.
• Providing migration strategies as a consequence of a certain proposal.
• Assisting our development teams by providing expertise and guidance on software development architecture, this in strong collaboration with the Enterprise Architect of that specific domain.

Job Requirements

• Have a strong proficiency in at least Java, Node.js and React.
• Have experience and in-depth knowledge of native development in Java, Kotlin and Swift.
• Have experience in both backend and frontend development.
• Have knowledge of cloud native architectures and programming tactics for serverless architectures.
• Have In-depth knowledge of Domain Driven Design and its tactical implementations.
• Have a strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, IaC tooling and according tools and practices.
• Be able to conduct assessments starting from the Enterprise Architecture in order to support the Business Strategy with the required Technology Tooling Architecture.
• Not only be able to explain TDD and ADD but also measure the current maturity level and provide a measurable process to improve upon both
• Be able to assist in the setup and maintenance of Consumer Driven Contract Testing tactics
• Have experience with Low-code and No-code solutions or be willing to invest in this area.
• Have experience with code assistance tooling like SonarCloud and an interest in AI driven supportive tooling.
