Their open-source products support over 30 programming languages, empowering dev teams of all sizes to solve coding issues within their existing workflows. With over 7 million developers using their software and a community edition trusted by more than 400,000 organizations globally, their products are a gold standard for teams and businesses to deliver better, safer software.
As a member of one of our engineering teams, you'll be a key player in making the best software tools for Code Quality and Security, creating new features that help our users write better software and delivering a high quality, amazingly powerful and popular open-source product.
You will be part of a brand new engineering department being built in Austin, TX. Our client is headquartered out of Switzerland and has a huge presence in Europe. They're expanding into the US because over 60% of their clients are based across the Atlantic. The team will consist of 10 hires to start, with scope to continue growing this team throughout 2023.

Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers and UX designers to specify new features
- Do sprints with an integrated team to deliver those new features with the end-user in mind
- Help maintain those features and take into account feedback from colleagues and the community
- Develop those features using React and Typescript
- Write unit tests and integration tests
- Do code reviews and provide meaningful feedback
- Help the team grow in its organization, tools, and processes
- Interact with our community on our product forum to support them
Key Requirements
- Highly experienced in developing in JavaScript or TypeScript, with at least 6 years hands-on experience
- REACT experience essential, with 3-4 years worth of hands-on experience required
- Fluency in source code quality, tests (unit and functional)
- Comfortable with agile practices and principles
- Comfortable in dealing with change and complexity
- Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude
- Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to receive feedback
- Team-player always willing to help and support others
- Autonomous, proactive and a fast learner
- You take initiative and have the ability to lead a subject from beginning to end
