Functional Safety Expert

Functional Safety Expert - 12 months initially + extensions - up to €90 p/h - Freelance - 95% remote working 

A partner based in Austria is looking for a Functional Safety Expert to join them on a long term engagement for an automotive project.


As an expert you need to have:

• Project experience in functional safety within the automotive industry
• FuSa Engineering of Electrical Vehicles 
• Strong experience with ISO26262
• Experience in IEC61508 an advantage
• Very good expertise with safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA)
• BMS Battery Management Systems development experience is a BIG advantage
• Strong communication in Engliash (German speaking is an advantage)

Tasks:

• Knowledge transfer and training of internal employees
• Advise the development department on the definition of security requirements at the system level.
• Moderate safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA) and create the safety documentation.
• Evaluate the implementation of ISO26262 and IEC61508 at the system level.
• Will be involved in external assessments of the security concept.
• Support the introduction of a security and cybersecurity management process.
