Head of DevOps

Head Of DevOps – Europe’s Leading Digital Asset Manager - €100,000-€150,000 p/a
 
Remote or Hybrid – Offices in Berlin/Cologne/Munich
 
 
My client, who are one of Europe’s largest and fastest growing Digital Asset manager platforms are hiring a Head of DevOps to take ownership of their DevOps culture, their continued journey into the cloud and to lead from the front with technical innovation.
 
The successful Head of DevOps will oversee and guide all DevOps and Cloud related strategy, tools and technology, guide and manage colleagues within your team, and play a leading role in software/platform/application architectural evolution.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• You oversee and guide all activities of DevOps and directly related teams
• Oversee, lead and mentor DevOps engineers, maintaining best industry DevOps practices
• Participate in technical research and design of Cloud solutions guaranteeing high availability, top performance and reliability
• You build and architect platform tools used by many engineering teams
• You guarantee the reduction or removal of bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the DevOps activities and engineering department

Requirements:
 

• Previous team lead experience is preferred but not essential
• Motivational skills, ability to communicate and build relationships on all levels
• Experience with Cloud environments
• Knowledge of systems networking
• Knowledge of docker containers and/or Kubernetes
• You're proficient with several of the following tools and technologies: AWS core infrastructure components, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, Kubernetes
• You are familiar with software architecture
• You have experience to work with legacy production systems and know how to improve reliability of them from a DevOps perspective
