Openshift/ DevOps Engineer

This is an oppotunity to work for a major finanacial firm. This contract has a long term view, offering career stability and skill growth. 

Location: Basel (2-3 Days on site, 2 days home office)
Contract: 6 initial months + extension or view to go long term.
Industry: Financial/Banking
Skillset: Linux, Openshift, Java, Docker/CI/CD
 
Knowledge of modern software stacks (from OpenShift and Ansible to Java Application Server and the CI/CD toolchain) a
Good knowledge of the Linux operating system including orchestration tools as a basis for deployments.
Team player, you like to get actively involved, are solution-oriented and are characterized by your independence.
Flexibility and willingness to be on call and work at off-peak times.
German and English Fluency  

  • Engineering and operation of the OpenShift Container Platform
  • Planning, installation and operation of applications (e.g. in OpenShift and Docker)
  • Conception of IT requirements in the area of applications
  • Processing (analysis, workaround, rectification) of faults
  • Ensuring the monitoring of ongoing operations
  • Creation, maintenance and management of documentation
  • Participation in projects as well as assumption of project and sub-project management
