SAP Security Platform Engineer - Freelance 

We are currently working with a market leading organization in the Netherlands, who are currenty upscalling thier SAP team with Platform Engineers. 

Here's a summary of the key role and responsibilities, as well as the required skills:

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Requirements and Design:
   
   • Identify and define technical application requirements and ecosystems.
   • Ensure applications are fit for operations and serviceability.
   • Act as a liaison between service providers and Agile IT ART's/Business Facing ART's.
2. Act as a Feature Owner within the SAP Platform ART:
   
   • Draft, review, and own high-level technical design documents.
   • Design application integrations/interfaces and identify data streams.
   • Ensure secure access to environments for end users and application management.
3. Delivery:
   
   • Collaborate with external infrastructure service providers, internal infrastructure providers, and cloud experts.
   • Order new/changed infrastructure services and standard technology components.
4. Maintain and Control:
   
   • Define and supervise the technical application lifecycle roadmap and plan.
   • Map application components to infrastructure during the lifecycle.
   • Optimize individual application and infrastructure lifecycles while minimizing business impact.
   • Control the technical application landscape by supervising installation, upgrade, and maintenance activities.
   • Monitor and report on application performance, availability, and capacity.
   • Manage problem management and application landscape security.
5. Improvement:
   
   • Measure and improve the process maturity for technical application support.
   • Work with service providers and architects to design new technologies and capabilities.
   • Identify critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
   • Measure and improve the process maturity of technical application support.
6. Quality, Risk & Compliance:
   
   • Maintain a security mindset (DevSecOps) throughout the application landscape.
   • Ensure proper delivery of application landscape components according to specifications and quality criteria.
   • Establish disaster recovery configurations and conduct IT continuity tests.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science.
• Senior-level technical expertise in SAP, particularly ERP+ (ECC), SAP HANA, and SAP ABAP/Java systems.
• Experience with modern data transformation tools and multi-cloud SAP architecture.
• Experience with SAP deployments on-premise, in SAP Cloud/SaaS, and on cloud-based data centers.

Contract details: 

• Freelance - 3 Year contract 
• Hybrid - 2/3 days onsight per week 
• June start date
