Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior/Principal Software Engineer for an exciting greenfield project with a top-tier investment bank. This role involves developing innovative data warehousing solutions that aggregate data from various trading systems to ensure compliance with banking regulations. You will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture of the project and will have the autonomy to make significant technical decisions while contributing to team growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the discovery phase of a major project with a tier-one investment bank.
• Drive key technical decisions and architectural direction.
• Advise on optimal architectural patterns while managing complex data requirements.
• Take a leading role in expanding the team.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Kotlin or Java (7+ years).
• Prior experience with investment banking trade data.
• Strong background in creating data/ETL pipelines.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing tools.
• Proven ability to build data warehouse systems handling large data sets.
• Knowledge of data lineage tracking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and gathering requirements.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with or experience in DataMesh concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud analytics technologies (e.g., Trino, S3, Parquet).
• Experience with Kafka or Flink.
• Understanding of liquidity reporting.
