Resource, Budget & Cost Controlling Business Manager

Location: Zürich
Set-up: hybrid with 3-4 days on-site
Workload percentage: 100%

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the Resource, Budget & Cost Controlling workstream within a large?scale transformation program. The role combines operational oversight, financial governance, resource management, and cross?team coordination. The ideal candidate brings strong structure, data?driven decision?making, and experience managing distributed teams in complex delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the end?to?end workstream across planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage scope, activities, and deliverables in alignment with program priorities.
  • Provide oversight for offshore resources (2 FTE) and governance support for onshore colleagues (2–3 FTE).
  • Lead companies’ oversight, including implementation, coordination, and tracking.
  • Drive cross?stream coordination with Delivery, PMO, and Resourcing/Budget functions.
  • Establish resource management processes and monitor adherence, ensuring impacts on financial and resource planning are captured and assessed.
  • Prepare high?quality, data?driven briefings, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders and the Budget & Cost Controlling PMO Lead.
  • Oversee tracking and analysis of demand change requests and assess resulting budget implications.
  • Act as a central point for resource governance, financial control, and reporting cadence.

Required Experience
  • Strong background in program or business management within large transformation or regulatory programs.
  • Proven experience in resource planning, financial governance, and cost?control mechanisms.
  • Ability to operate across distributed teams with onshore/offshore oversight.
  • Excellent cross?functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, modelling, reporting) and MS PowerPoint (executive?ready materials).
  • Highly structured, detail?oriented, and comfortable working in environments with changing priorities.
