What You’ll Do
- Lead and perform complex operational support for AWS environments, balancing reliability and agility.
- Troubleshoot advanced incidents, coordinating with Cloud Engineering or Application teams when necessary.
- Own and continuously improve Datadog monitoring dashboards, alerts, and incident response processes.
- Maintain and enhance infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and review automation or monitoring improvements.
- Actively propose and design automation solutions for recurring tasks and operational inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards during deployments and maintenance activities.
- Build strong familiarity with the business-critical applications you support and maintain effective relationships with Application teams.
- Participate in and sometimes lead on-call rotations, ensuring quick and effective incident response.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, or DevOps.
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services.
- Strong experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Datadog monitoring and alerting.
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux OS administration.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database maintenance concepts.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and shared drive technologies.
- Proven ability to lead incident response, troubleshooting, and problem management.
- Experience mentoring or coaching peers.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to identify automation opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to implement them.
- Availability to participate in on-call rotation and handle high-severity incidents.
