Job Description
We’re looking for Software Engineering Team Leads to join a growing engineering organisation where technology sits at the heart of product innovation. You will play a key role in leading talented development teams while remaining technically involved in building scalable, high-performance systems.
This role offers the opportunity to shape engineering practices, influence architecture decisions, and mentor engineers, while still staying close to the code.
The Role
As a Software Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for building and delivering modern software platforms. You will combine technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring projects are delivered successfully while supporting the growth of your team.
This role requires someone who enjoys balancing hands-on development with team leadership (approximately 50/50).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of software engineers in a collaborative environment
- Remaining hands-on in development, contributing to system design and coding when needed
- Managing priorities, timelines and delivery across engineering projects
- Providing technical guidance and code reviews to ensure engineering best practices
- Contributing to architecture and system design decisions focusing on scalability and performance
- Working closely with product managers, QA and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
- Supporting engineers through mentoring and career development
- Improving development processes, tools and engineering standards
- Troubleshooting complex technical challenges and supporting the team in solving them

- Strong background as a Software Engineer within modern backend systems
- Experience with .NET / C# development
- Experience building microservices and distributed systems
- Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns
- Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture and scalable systems
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable balancing technical contribution with team leadership
