Project description:
We are looking for a Digital Workplace Technician to support the reliable operation, deployment, and maintenance of workplace infrastructure across Swiss sites. You will provide hands?on end?user support, contribute to global digital initiatives, and ensure alignment with Group Digital standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guarantee the correct functioning of local digital infrastructure, including WAN, LAN/WLAN, endpoints, printers, local servers, and telephony systems:
o Deploy, configure, and maintain workplace infrastructure: PCs, laptops, printers, label printers, LAN/WLAN, local servers, and telephony (fixed and mobile)
o Support and implement corporate digital initiatives such as WAN upgrades, WLAN improvements, VoIP deployments, and site integrations
o Ensure all components operate in line with Group Digital standards
o Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures
• Deliver high quality operational support to end users and maintain service levels o Oversee daily IT operations and ensure compliance with SLAs, SLOs, and internal procedures. o Monitor system performance and proactively address issues
• Participate in corporate Digital Workplace projects impacting Swiss sites
• Provide professional technical support to local users at all levels
• Manage incidents, service requests, and technical inquiries within agreed timeframes
• Offer user assistance and basic training when required
• Collaborate with Digital Project Managers and cross regional teams
• Stay informed about industry best practices, workplace technology trends, and innovations adopted by multinational companies
• Process and resolve tickets in line with SLO targets
• Stay current with workplace technology trends and best practices
Required Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Fluency in English German or French
• Solid understanding of WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies
• Experience with Windows endpoints (desktops, laptops)
• Knowledge of local server environments
• Familiarity with printers and label printers
• Understanding of fixed and mobile telephony systems
• Experience with ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow)
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• You bring strong troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
• Ability to manage daily operations in a structured, SLA driven environment
• You are competent in deploying and maintaining workplace hardware and applications
• Prior experience supporting multi site environments is an advantage
• Strong customer service orientation
• Clear and professional communication
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Flexibility for occasional weekend or overtime work
• Resilience in balancing global standards with local operational needs
