Client Location: Hamburg, Germany
About the Role Our client, a Hamburg-based organisation, is looking for a mid-level AWS Consultant to support their cloud initiatives on a short-term contract. This role requires hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS environments, while also ensuring integration with wider IT landscapes and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security groups).
- Support hybrid and multi-cloud integrations (AWS with Azure, GCP, or on-premises environments).
- Ensure security and compliance with IAM best practices, encryption standards, monitoring solutions, and frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO.
- Conduct cost audits and implement scaling strategies to drive cost efficiency across AWS environments.
- Automate infrastructure deployments with Terraform or CloudFormation for repeatable, compliant environments.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions.
- Experience: 2–4 years in AWS consulting, cloud engineering, or similar roles.
- Technical Expertise:
- AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security groups).
- Hybrid/multi-cloud integration with Azure/GCP/on-prem.
- Security and compliance (IAM, encryption, monitoring, GDPR/HIPAA/ISO alignment).
- Cost optimization and scaling strategies.
- IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security groups).
- Languages: Minimum B2 German proficiency (spoken and written).
- Location: Based anywhere in Europe with availability to work remotely.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and adaptability.
