Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support the design, build, and operation of cloud infrastructure across our environments. The role requires strong hands-on AWS experience combined with solid knowledge of cloud security, networking, and operational support.
You will work closely with engineering and platform teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and ensure production environments remain secure, scalable, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting production workloads.
- Deploy and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments.
- Support cloud operations, including monitoring, incident management, and performance optimisation.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, network security, and compliance controls.
- Configure and manage AWS networking components such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Support application teams with cloud deployment and operational requirements.
- Participate in production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
- Document infrastructure, architecture decisions, and operational procedures.
- 5–9 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience building and operating production cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, load balancing, routing, NAT, private networking).
- Experience implementing cloud security best practices and IAM policies.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and cloud services.
- Experience supporting production systems and operational environments.
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Linux system administration.
- Experience with cloud cost optimisation and governance.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator.
