The Role We are seeking an experienced Odoo Developer for a 6-month freelance engagement to support ongoing client implementations and custom development projects. This exclusive collaboration offers the opportunity to work on complex Odoo environments and deliver high-impact ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Odoo ERP solutions
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules (e.g. Sales, Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR)
- Develop custom features using Python and Odoo ORM, and extend existing modules where required
- Customize Odoo views, workflows, reports, and automated actions
- Integrate Odoo with third-party systems and APIs
- Support system implementation, data migration, testing, and go-live activities
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve functional and technical issues within Odoo environments
- Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to client teams
- Proven commercial experience as an Odoo Developer (Community and/or Enterprise editions)
- Strong proficiency in Python, Odoo ORM, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with Odoo front-end technologies (XML, QWeb, JavaScript)
- Solid understanding of ERP business processes (finance, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.)
- Experience with Odoo integrations (REST APIs, web services)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a consultancy setting
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
- Freelance eligibility to work in Germany for the duration of the contract
