Overview

We are seeking a Functional Analyst to bridge business objectives and delivery teams, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and value-driven. You will collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into clear functional specifications, and support end-to-end delivery from discovery through to go-live and hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit, analyse, and validate business needs.
  • Document functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows (e.g., BPMN), and use cases.
  • Support solution design by working with architects, developers, and product owners to define functional scope and priorities.
  • Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses, and options appraisals; recommend pragmatic solutions.
  • Maintain traceability across requirements, design, testing, and delivery artefacts.
  • Support test strategy and execution: test scenarios, UAT coordination, defect triage, and retesting.
  • Assist with change management: training materials, user guidance, and communications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis standards, templates, and ways of working.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within consultancy/advisory environments.
  • Strong requirements engineering skills, including stakeholder management and facilitation.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or hybrid delivery models.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, testable specifications and prioritised backlogs.
  • Familiarity with data concepts (data flows, basic modelling, data quality) and system integration considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams and managing competing priorities.
  • Right to work in Belgium and willingness to work on-site in Brussels as required.

Desirable

  • Experience in regulated or public-sector contexts (e.g., security, privacy, auditability).
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, Visio, or similar.
  • Exposure to API-enabled ecosystems, CRM/ERP platforms, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Certification such as IIBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications.
  • French and/or Dutch language skills in addition to English.

What You Can Expect

  • Varied client engagements with meaningful business impact.
  • A collaborative, quality-focused culture with opportunities for development and progression.
  • Supportive delivery practices that value clarity, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
