Technical Skills & Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages.

  • Understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.

  • Experience working on software projects (academic, personal, or professional) that demonstrate practical programming skills.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, development pipelines, issue tracking tools, and containerisation technologies.

  • Understanding of modern cloud computing concepts, including scalability, security, reliability, and deployment practices.

  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, modern web application development frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaborative ways of working.

  • Awareness of current AI technologies and experience using AI-assisted tools to support software development, problem-solving, or learning, with an understanding of the importance of validating and reviewing AI-generated outputs.

Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and keeping up to date with industry developments.
