Hardware System Validation Engineer About the Role We are seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer to join the System Team within the Semiconductor Division of a leading technology organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the validation of a next-generation, high-performance Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) evaluation platform, supporting the development of cutting-edge semiconductor products. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in defining validation strategies, bringing up new hardware, executing qualification testing, and ensuring compliance against technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement validation strategies for custom hardware based on technical specifications and compliance requirements.
Perform hardware bring-up of complete evaluation platforms, including FPGA carrier boards and custom mezzanine cards.
Execute qualification, verification, and compliance testing on ADC evaluation hardware.
Produce detailed test plans, validation reports, and technical documentation.
Support the commissioning of ADC hardware, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software, and RF measurement capabilities.
Analyse test results, troubleshoot hardware issues, and work with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
Ensure validation activities are completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements.
Additional Responsibilities As part of the wider System Team, you may also:
Provide technical support to engineering teams on customer application queries.
Support radiation testing activities by advising on test setups and validation methods.
Contribute to the validation of new products and hardware platforms as part of ongoing development programmes.
Skills & Experience We're looking for candidates with experience in:
Hardware validation, verification, or system testing.
FPGA-based hardware platforms and board bring-up.
High-speed digital electronics or mixed-signal systems.
Defining and executing qualification and compliance test plans.
Producing technical documentation and validation reports.
Fault finding and debugging complex electronic systems.
Desirable Experience
Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) or data acquisition systems.
RF measurements and laboratory test equipment.
Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software.
Semiconductor or electronics product development environments.
