We are seeking experienced French-speaking Java Developers to join our Consultancy team based in either Porto or Lisbon. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications, while ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver bespoke software solutions that meet complex business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
Collaborate with analysts and designers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Maintain clear documentation for deployed solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong knowledge of Java SE and Java EE.
Fluent in French and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar.
Familiarity with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
Good understanding of database systems, particularly MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desirable:

Experience working in consultancy or client-facing roles.
Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar.
