Job Description
- You are not just executing tests, you are owning and improving quality across one of Wilmaa?s
- OTT streaming platforms.
- You will act as the key quality bridge between product and development, with end-to-end
- responsibility for testing, automation, release validation, and production quality feedback.
- Each QA Engineer is embedded in a development team and becomes the quality owner for a
- specific platform, ensuring that features behave exactly as expected, before and after they
- reach production.
What you will do
Scope & refinement
- Work closely with developers and Product Owners during Epic and Story refinements
- Challenge unclear requirements and identify edge cases early
- Ensure stories meet the Definition of Ready, with clear acceptance criteria and testability
- Actively contribute a quality perspective before development starts
Hands-on feature testing
- Test new features as soon as they are available in the development environment
- Focus on validating the specific scope of each ticket during the sprint
- Provide fast, actionable feedback to the team
Release gatekeeping
- Perform full validation of all tickets included in a release on the staging environment
- Execute smoke tests (manual and automated)
- Validate release scope against official release notes
- Flag risks and quality gaps before production
- Perform final checks on production-signed builds in pre-production environments
- Provide a clear GO / NO
What you bring
- Experience in QA roles with end-to-end responsibility for quality
- Strong hands-on testing mindset combined with automation ownership
- Ability to work autonomously and take quality decisions
- Experience working in Scrum / agile environments
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with developers and Product Owners
- Availability during Swiss working hours
- Good English (German is a plus)
