We're partnered with a fast-growing software business that is investing heavily in its platform engineering capability and looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help build the foundations that enable product teams to deliver high-quality software at scale.

This is an opportunity to join a business undergoing significant growth and transformation, where you'll play a key role in designing and evolving the internal developer platform, cloud infrastructure, and engineering tooling that supports multiple development teams. 

The Role

Working as part of a modern Platform Engineering function, you'll help create a frictionless developer experience through automation, self-service tooling, and cloud-native best practices.

You'll be responsible for:

• Building and enhancing Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities
• Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Managing and optimising Kubernetes environments
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
• Driving GitOps practices and platform standardisation
• Improving platform reliability, security, scalability and cost effectiveness
• Creating "golden paths" that reduce developer cognitive load and accelerate delivery
• Collaborating with Engineering, Security and SRE teams to improve operational excellence
• Championing modern engineering practices including observability, automation and resilience engineering

Experience Required: 

• At least 4 years' experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge in production environments
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
• Experience building and supporting scalable distributed systems
• Strong CI/CD and automation experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
• Experience working within fast-paced engineering teams or technology organisations
