Overview

Our client, a global leader in the shipping and maritime sector, is seeking a Software Design (UX/UI) Consultant to enhance the usability, efficiency, and visual quality of digital tools used across fleet operations, logistics, customer platforms, and internal systems. This consultant will play a key role in elevating user experience for both onshore and onboard users.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX/UI design for web and mobile applications that support shipping operations, vessel monitoring, and logistics workflows.

• Conduct user research, interviews, journey mapping, and usability testing with operational and commercial stakeholders.

• Create intuitive wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with industry best practices.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data teams to translate requirements into user-centric solutions.

• Ensure consistency of design standards and contribute to a scalable design system.

• Optimize interfaces for complex, data-heavy environments (e.g., dashboards, operational control systems).

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or Software Design Consultant.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design expertise.

• Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

• Experience working with agile development teams.

• Understanding of responsive design, component libraries, and accessibility standards.

• Experience designing for industrial, logistics, maritime, or other operational environments is highly desirable.
