Hybrid: 60% onsite (Lausanne or Olten) - 40% Home Office
Our customer is seeking a talented Software Developer to join the IT Trading Team, which develops and supports a data platform for continuous 24/7 trading in Energy markets.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain our trading data and execution platform
• Write and optimize data loaders for ingesting trading and market data from various sources
• Implement cloud-based solutions (AWS), leveraging established technologies and best practices
• Participate in codebase maintenance activities, IT security fixes, and technical debt reduction
• Contribute to Level 3 production support and collaborate with the Level 2 Production Support team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in software development, with solid Java programming skills and microservices implementation
• Experience with database technologies, including writing optimized SQL queries and basic DBA tasks, interest in data storage technologies
• Some professional experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming technologies or confirmed interest in data streaming
• Good knowledge of the Spring Boot framework
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux command line and Git, some exposure to bash scripting
• Experience with high performance timeseries databases is a plus
• Basic working knowledge of a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and interest in the cloud technologies
• Interest in IT Security topics
• Basic proficiency in Python programming language or demonstrated ability to learn new languages quickly
• Personality traits: results-oriented, with good documentation habits, and attention to detail
