About the Role We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager with a strong background in IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to join a Procurement and Strategic Sourcing team for a 12-month contract based in Zurich.
This is a high-impact role that will support key sourcing initiatives, drive cost efficiencies, and enable transformation in IT and shared service functions.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations, to deliver strategic sourcing projects and manage complex supplier negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes for IT and BPO categories, including RFI/RFP, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to drive strategic decisions.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Support risk management, governance, and compliance initiatives across the sourcing lifecycle.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a strong focus on IT and BPO services.
- Solid understanding of IT services (software, infrastructure, cloud, managed services) and BPO operations (F&A, HR, customer service, etc.).
- Proven track record in managing complex contract negotiations and vendor management.
- Experience in a global or regional sourcing role within a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus.
