A growing technology team within the healthcare sector is looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to help shape and deliver scalable digital solutions. This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving systems, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud-native services and infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
- Develop resilient backend systems and REST APIs.
- Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure-as-code.
- Deploy and maintain containerised workloads on Kubernetes; manage data workflows with Airflow and Databricks.
- Implement best practices for model lifecycle management (tracking, versioning, performance, retraining).
- Partner with product and engineering teams to align on delivery and architecture.
- Monitor, optimise, and reduce operational costs.
- Produce clear documentation and support knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, learning, and technical excellence.
- Experienced in building and operating production systems.
- Expert Python engineer (backend data).
- Strong cloud, container, and event-driven architecture skills.
- Analytical, autonomous, and effective at solving complex problems.
- Comfortable mentoring and working in Agile teams.
- Motivated by improving human health through technology.
- LLM fine-tuning experience.
- Open-source contributions.
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
