Job Description
Our client is developing a large-scale Data Lake on Azure Databricks and is expanding their Data Engineering team. They are looking for a skilled Freelance Data Engineer to join the project. This role offers the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge data platform used across Europe, collaborating with experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data platforms and ETL pipelines on Azure Databricks.
- Define and implement data architecture and best practices for large-scale distributed systems.
- Build and maintain robust data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Deliver high-quality, performant, and maintainable data engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, governance, and security.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture.
- Proven expertise in Apache Spark and Azure Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data platform design, data modeling, and data system architecture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — prior experience in a lead or senior data engineering role is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
