The Role
Our client is seeking a highly technical Senior Entra ID Governance Engineer to join a major Identity & Access Management programme focused on expanding and enhancing its Microsoft Entra ID Governance capabilities.
As the organisation continues to scale, you'll play a key role in migrating and onboarding an increasing number of users, applications and access policies into the Entra ID Governance platform. Working within a cloud-first Azure environment, you'll help automate identity processes, improve governance controls and deliver robust identity lifecycle management across the business.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with deep technical expertise, strong automation skills and extensive experience delivering Microsoft identity solutions within large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automation using advanced PowerShell scripting.
- Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
- Develop scalable identity governance solutions across a large Azure estate.
- Automate identity lifecycle management, access reviews and governance processes.
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud and security teams to deliver identity initiatives.
- Support the migration of users, groups and applications into Entra ID Governance.
- Drive best practices around identity, access management and automation.
- Expert-level PowerShell scripting experience.
- Strong background in Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
- Extensive Azure infrastructure and cloud technology experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Experience automating infrastructure and identity processes.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft identity technologies and governance principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to improve engineering productivity.
- Previous experience working within large enterprise or financial services environments.
- Knowledge of broader Microsoft Identity technologies, including Entra ID, Azure AD Connect and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Join a large-scale Microsoft identity transformation programme at leading Investment bank.
- Work on a business-critical Entra ID Governance implementation.
- 12-month contract with strong potential for extension.
- Hybrid working within a collaborative cloud engineering team.
