Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer, you will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for critical infrastructure supporting globally distributed services.
- Identify, drive, and implement improvements to platform performance, reliability, and operational processes.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams on architecture, prioritization, and technical solutions.
- Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to improve standards, tooling, and shared services.
- Manage relationships with cloud and technology providers, helping evaluate and onboard new solutions where appropriate.
- Apply strong Linux and networking expertise to troubleshooting, optimization, and production support.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and proactively reduce operational overhead through automation and platform enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps.
- Hands-on experience supporting production workloads in cloud environments, with strong networking fundamentals.
- Experience with at least one scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking concepts, and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar tools.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
