Job Description

Salesforce Business Analyst

Business Area: Asset Management Platform
Location: London
Reporting to: Principal Salesforce Business Analyst
Job title: Salesforce Business Analyst

Who we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record in Salesforce technology design and delivery. The ideal candidate has high standards, an eye for detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and a well-developed analytical toolkit. Exposure to the financial services industry is important. The candidate should work effectively with stakeholders, consistently deliver business value, and demonstrate enthusiasm for innovation. They should be comfortable driving analysis on in-flight delivery programmes through to production, with meaningful involvement in earlier-stage initiatives.

About Us
Our client is a global investment manager, helping institutions, intermediaries, and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

The team
The Asset Management Platforms department is a global technology change delivery function that oversees and executes all technology delivery within the organisation. The Client Engagement team sits within Client Technology and is responsible for all platforms associated with the provision of client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce. The core team is responsible for understanding business needs, solving complex problems, mobilising and delivering large change programs, and maintaining the integrity of the Salesforce platform and associated capabilities.

What you'll do
  • Work alongside the Principal Business Analyst and business stakeholders across Client Engagement, supporting domains spanning both our Public and Private businesses.
  • Drive analysis across change initiatives—translating complex business problems into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Gather, document and validate business requirements, ensuring they are well understood, prioritised, and traceable through to delivery and adoption.
  • Contribute to proof-of-value and proof-of-concept work to test ideas and de-risk delivery.
  • Support data integration initiatives, helping connect Salesforce with upstream and downstream platforms to enable joined-up client journeys.
  • Explore emerging AI capabilities to enhance productivity and client engagement, identifying practical use cases.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Solid, demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in Salesforce technology change delivery, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator is required. Salesforce Certified Business Analyst is strongly preferred; additional consultant-track certifications (e.g. Sales Cloud / Service Cloud Consultant) are desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, including business process modelling, requirements gathering and elicitation, technical diagramming, and workshop facilitation.
  • A good understanding of how business, data and technology changes fit together to achieve a target outcome.
  • Confident use of technical diagramming and whiteboarding tools.
  • Good eye for detail, with a strong track record of producing high-quality requirements documentation and analysis outputs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business analysis experience across different capabilities, systems or teams; a breadth of (positive) experiences is valued alongside depth.
  • A good understanding of the end-to-end SDLC process (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid etc.).
  • Willingness to work with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones etc.

What you'll be like
The ideal candidate for the Business Analyst role will be a collaborative and curious team member with a business-value, outcomes-driven mindset. They will take ownership of analysis tasks, use their initiative to break down complex problems, and organise their own work. Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, this individual will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. Their curiosity will drive the exploration of new solutions and methodologies, ultimately contributing to strong project outcomes.
