Your Profile
- 7 + years of experience working with modern data technologies as a Data Engineer, Data Analytics Engineer, Big Data Engineer, or similar role
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Authorized to work in Switzerland (applications from candidates without the necessary work authorization will not be considered)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong experience with Python and SQL (minimum 7 years)
- Proven expertise in building data ingestion pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse architectures
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, design patterns, and building highly scalable data solutions
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, HBase, Kafka, Impala, ELK Stack, ETL/ELT.
- Experience with Cloudera is highly desirable
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse), AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or similar modern data platforms
- Strong experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
- Experience supporting analytics, machine learning, or AI workloads is a plus
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms
- Build and optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions
- Integrate and process data from multiple enterprise and external sources
- Ensure data quality, performance, security, and governance standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical best practices
- Drive continuous improvements in data architecture and engineering processes
