Job Description
• 10 years in Configuration Management / Release Management / Systems Engineering
• Managing complex multi-system software & hardware environments
• Configuration baselines, change control, and release governance
• Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and system lifecycle management
• Source control, packaging, deployment, and release processes
• Configuration audits, discrepancy investigation, and process compliance
• Strong understanding of ISO 15288
• Experience working within critical infrastructure, aerospace, defence, telecom, transport, or enterprise-scale environments
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to drive process adoption across technical teams
Responsibilities:
Develop and keep up to date the System of Systems configuration management strategy,
Lead the development and implementation of system of system configuration management solutions
Accountable to get the AIS, ATS and ATFS configuration management strategy applied for every system release deployment,
Investigate and triage technical problems related to configuration Management
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement those improvements focusing on System of Systems configuration management practices.
As a result :
a) Items requiring configuration management are identified and managed.
b) Configuration baselines are established.
c) Changes to items under configuration management are controlled.
d) Configuration status information is available.
e) Required configuration audits are completed.
f) System releases and deliveries are controlled and approved.
The role sits within a highly complex systems environment and combines technical coordination, governance, operational oversight, and process improvement
