AWS Consultant (Mid-Level)

About the Role
Our client, a Hamburg-based organisation, is looking for a mid-level AWS Consultant to support their cloud initiatives on a short-term contract. This role requires hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS environments, while also ensuring integration with wider IT landscapes and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security groups).

Support hybrid and multi-cloud integrations (AWS with Azure, GCP, or on-premises environments).

Ensure security and compliance with IAM best practices, encryption standards, monitoring solutions, and frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO.

Conduct cost audits and implement scaling strategies to drive cost efficiency across AWS environments.

Automate infrastructure deployments with Terraform or CloudFormation for repeatable, compliant environments.

Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions.
Requirements

Experience: 2–4 years in AWS consulting, cloud engineering, or similar roles.

Technical Expertise:

AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security groups).

Hybrid/multi-cloud integration with Azure/GCP/on-prem.

Security and compliance (IAM, encryption, monitoring, GDPR/HIPAA/ISO alignment).

Cost optimization and scaling strategies.

IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Languages: Minimum B2 German proficiency (spoken and written).

Location: Based anywhere in Europe with availability to work remotely.
