We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of complex projects within the biotechnology sector. This position is based in Bern, Switzerland, and offers an attractive daily rate of CHF 800. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects in a regulated environment, with a strong understanding of biotech processes and product development lifecycles.
Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, communicating project progress to stakeholders, and driving project milestones to completion on time and within scope.
Key duties:
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution activities
- Manage budgets and resource allocations across multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GCP, and other regulatory requirements
- Report project status to senior management and key stakeholders
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, partners, and external vendors
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing projects in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including EMA, FDA, and Swissmedic
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English; German or French is a plus
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
