Overview: A prominent financial institution is seeking an experienced Calypso Developer/ DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in financial institutions, consultancies, or financial software companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new functionality in the Calypso Production environment.
  • Provide functional and technical support for the Calypso application (24x7) on a rotational basis.
  • Automate deployment, testing, system health checks, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and DevOps teams to understand requirements.
  • Maintain existing automated test solutions.
  • Improve working practices and release processes with the development team.
  • Provide support in line with SLAs.
  • Log calls and resolutions in the incident management support tool.
  • Liaise with other support teams and departments to solve problems.
  • Monitor systems and perform housekeeping tasks.
  • Participate in overnight support rota, and occasional on-site/off-site support, including public holidays and weekends.
Required Experience:
  • Experience with Calypso Version 13+.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Java).
  • Knowledge of financial products such as Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, and Derivatives.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Linux, and scripting.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Delivery tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, ANT; Microsoft Azure is a plus).
  • Experience with automated tools like Fitnesse or Selenium.
  • Understanding of trade processing, confirmations, settlements, payments, and accounting.
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols and middleware architecture.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies.
