for our customer a major energy / utilities provider we are seeking a Infrastructure Security Engineer based in Prague

Some onsite work is desired but not essential, team days should be attended around once/ twice per month
Rate:400-412 per day

Responsibilities:
• Understand business needs and assist in identifying, gathering, validating, and implementing functional and technical security requirements.
• Assist in proof of concepts, technology evaluations, and solution design for new or improved infrastructure security capabilities.
• Design, implement, configure, operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IT security solutions across infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and security monitoring domains.
• Work with infrastructure-as-code approaches where applicable to support repeatable, controlled, and scalable deployment of infrastructure security solutions.
• Develop automated asset onboarding solutions that maintain security coverage, functional KPIs, and platform health across the full service lifecycle.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of patching and vulnerability remediation processes across hybrid environments, including on-premises, cloud, server, endpoint, and third-party-managed infrastructure.
• Interconnect IT security platforms and integrate them with third-party systems such as ITSM, CMDB, hyperscalers, data platforms, threat intelligence sources, and other enterprise services.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts, APIs, workflows, and platform-native automation capabilities.
• Actively use and collaborate through internal ITSM, BAU tracking, request, incident, change, and service management systems.
• Develop and enforce security policies, baseline configurations, and system hardening standards.
• Establish and maintain operational governance and standards for infrastructure and security tools.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including security architecture diagrams, operational procedures, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and managed services providers to align security objectives with organizational goals.
• Continuously enhance infrastructure security services to improve reliability, coverage, automation, efficiency, and business value for Alpiq.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to internal customers.
