We are seeking a Trading PM within the Consultancy & Advisory sector to lead the delivery of trading and risk initiatives for clients across commodities, energy, and financial markets. You will manage end-to-end project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure solutions meet regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements in fast-paced trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of trading-focused programmes and workstreams (front office, risk, middle office, back office).
  • Define scope, success metrics, RAID logs, governance, budgets, and delivery plans; report progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with traders, risk, operations, technology, and compliance to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Lead workshops, process mapping, and target operating model design; drive standardisation and controls.
  • Oversee implementation of trading platforms, ETRM/CTRM, risk, market data, and reporting solutions.
  • Manage vendors and systems integrators; ensure quality assurance, testing strategy, and cutover readiness.
  • Support change management, training, and adoption, ensuring minimal disruption to trading operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven project/programme management experience within trading environments (commodities, energy, or capital markets).
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, P&L, market risk (VaR), credit risk, limits, confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Hands-on delivery skills across Agile and Waterfall, including sprint planning, backlog management, and governance forums.
  • Experience with business analysis artefacts (user stories, process flows, data mapping) and stakeholder management at senior level.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and control expectations relevant to trading (e.g., SOX controls, market conduct, audit readiness).
  • Excellent communication skills; able to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering ETRM/CTRM transformations and integrations (market data, risk engines, accounting, and data warehouses).
  • Exposure to energy scheduling, logistics, physical trading, or structured products.
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) and/or Agile certification (Scrum Master/SAFe).

Working Arrangements

Houston-based role with client-facing delivery; flexibility may be available depending on project phase and stakeholder needs.
